Proforma Labs uses an AQUALAB 4TE Water Activity Meter by means of a connected chilled mirror dew point water sensor which is the primary and most reliable measure of water activity to conduct an accurate quantitative analysis by measuring the amount of water available in your final product.

The higher the water activity value reported, the more vulnerable your products are to microbial contamination. This is extremely useful data for all non-inhalable products, because it can be applicable to determine packaging, storage, and labeling improvements. It can also enhance your product and process developments. 

ProForma Labs uses the Shimadzu MOC-120H analytical balance equipped with a mid-infrared quartz heating lamp to measure and quantify the water content in your product by means of vapor loss.

Moisture content of cannabis products is also an imperative indicator of the potential activity for contaminants such as fungi, bacteria, and insects, which can negatively impact the quality and assurance of your product.
